We're in the midst of a summer heat wave here on the eastern side of PA. But I know we don't have the corner market on the summer sun. I thought it might be interesting to see what the summer sun looks like in other places. "But what if it's not summer for me?", you might ask. Well, you're probably ready to remember those lazy, hazy days of summer to ward off the cold. So pull out those summer sun pictures and post them here!
@lolanae Your tree makes me feel like I would be able to climb to the top and touch the sun if I was just a bit younger!! Thanks for sharing your sun with me.
this was yesterday morning as the sun was burning through the haze. I am too hesitant to go outside for a lunchtime photo. It is now 99.9 degrees at CBS 3.
Thank you all for your wonderful sun pictures! I truly mean it when I say that I'm overwhelmed by such great photographs and participation. Each one carries a bit of your personality and its fun to watch your humor or feelings unfold before me as I scroll down the pictures. My special condolences to Andy et al. who must wait to see the sun while the raindrops fall (I call them "Hidden Sun" pictures) and my prayers are with Dawna and other regions which are reaching blistering temps this summer- please stay safe! We hit 103 degrees today and I can honestly say I never remember reaching that in my entire lifetime except for the time I visisted the Painted Desert in the '70s. Thanks again to everyone!!!
@kalexa@kalexa Awesome shots! The sunlight through the clouds is truly inspirational and I love the way the light is playing with the lens around your dancer.
It has been 100+ here in Texas, no rain and we are in a drought situation. Here are some that I have taken when I have ventured forth in the evenings. Taken at or near sunset.
@grannysue The temps around the country are just incredible. I knew Texas had high, high temps, but lately we've been having the same here- crazy! Your venturing was worth it. The first shot is stunning and beautiful! The other two seem to eminate the heat! Great pictures Linda- try to stay cool!

It's amazing how even the sun takes on so many different looks for different people. :)
Here is my summer sun and a little chubby cheeked baby to go with. :) Although she is also MY sunshine so technically this photo has 2 suns. :D

Lake Tahoe is a great place to cool off Clare! I would imagine that it's pretty cool on top of the ski mountain there too.

This is my morning summer sun this morning at about 6:30 a.m. at 70 degrees. Right now it 88 degrees, and I am hiding in the house!
