Yes we did in south jersey!! I watched my picture frames on our bookcase move back and forth! Than I felt the floor shake!! Never felt anything like that before! Scary!!
YES!!! We live in Connecticut (about 40 min. from NYC) and we felt it clearly! Scary stuff. We had tornadoes nearby not long ago too, this weather is crazy!! Where are you Cindi?
The news reports that a few people felt it here in Indiana, but I didn't. Crazy stuff going on with an two earthquakes occurring today and a hurricane enroute.
felt it in nj...we're on the 7th floor.....the door to my boss's office was swaying...so weird!
we weren't quite evacuated, but we all went outside anyway, and then were told to come back in....
OMG! No shaking in Southerna California for once! Hang in there everyone in the East Coast! Make sure you have bottled water, flash lights, batteries--just in case there are more! We are trained in LA, but usually never fully prepared! ;-(
Definitely felt it here in Va. Was in line at the community college to get my books, started feeling shaky and my stomach felt like it was in knots...had no idea what was going on. Hope everyone's ok!
@dune1953 Hey Doug, I heard about our earthquake too, but didn't feel anything here in the Springs! Hope everyone out east in NY, DC, NC areas are ok!!
Sitting in a high rise I felt the building shake, but all those on the first floor felt nothing in Philadelphia. We actually thought it was the construction site next door and got the heck out of the building in case they hit a main. Got an hour and a half in the sun for free today though.
Just got a call from my sister-in-law asking the same thing! Well, we didn't feel it much here in the Poconos (eastern Pa), but there was a bit of a jiggle. I heard something go thump in my attic and the prism that hangs in my front window was definitely moving from the vibration although I couldn't feel anything underneath me. I didn't even know an earthquake had hit until I got that phone call! Glad to see that everyone is ok- here and in Co.!
Thoughts and Prayers going out to USA in the areas of the 5.9 Earthquake. I have just been rushing through my Friends list to see if any of you are in the areas that got the quake. I think many people are considering themselves very lucky/blessed.
Being a follower of Jesus Christ, I have been thinking for some time now that the warnings are coming very fast to "Change our ways & return to God and His teachings".
Just Praying that all will be safe and free from Injuries. I also think there will probably be more to come God Bless you all.
