I've been toying with signing up for ages.... I did a local course a few years ago and loved it, but I didn't even have my DSLR then so a lot of it was wasted. i really feel like I need to advance my technical skills now. I'm travelling at the moment so the option of an online course really works for me, but I'm abit nervous about taking the plunge - it's a lot of money, although the course sounds very thorough. I'm interested to hear from anyone else who has done it/is doing it.
I do the Art Institute online program, don't know if it's similar, but I really like it. learning a lot and broadening my horizons. lots of benefits come with being an adult student :)
@swoop i'm thinking of taking the same online course, but what's preventing me is that i'm also studying for another course, and juggling as a husband, father, photographer, church leader, tennis player, etc. I think it's worth it moreso if you have the time as I have attended one-off photo courses and learned a lot.
@sdpace Thanks, that's really positive feedback, very encouraging! @ronphotography I know exactly what you mean, I've been emailing they to see what the consequences are if I don't complete it within a year as I'm concerned that with travelling I won't always have the opportunity/internet connection etc to get it done, but I do feel like i need to be doing something to develop myself and achieve at the moment @silverhorn by all accounte they seem quite flexible - i hope your circumstances become such that you're able to take it up again soon
I'd still love to hear from anyone who's doing it at the moment to hear how useful you've found it etc
