how to remove tags

hello all! am trying to remove the tags on my photos...i have tried selecting the "edit" button under the photo and just deleting the tags and choosing to "save" it again. but the tags don't come off....is there a way to do it without having to delete all these photos and reupload them again?? help is appreciated!

I just removed a tag the way that didn't work for you - maybe sign out, sign back in and try again?
