Seeing as I'm in the two thirds of the way through my first year, I have recently come to the decision that I will continue to be an ACE member and begin my 3rd year on this website, because I know everyone was wondering.
@mej2011 the point is, if you wish to send a message to your "followers", you can do it on a photo. Thus, satirising of people who do it in public, is amusing.
@eyebrows
Amusing, if you're 10. Otherwise, it is just rude. Said person can also post a thread for their followers to read, and everyone else can kindly ignore it.
@mej2011
Now extrapolate that to everyone posting threads for their followers, and picture having to do that much ignoring. Suddenly the public discussion forums cease to serve any worthwhile purpose. Y'get me yeah?
I don't understand how some people are able to manipulate the font on here to do such things as italics. Anyways, you're absolutely right, I could have ignored this thread. Unfortunately, it seems as of late, that whenever someone's actions are being questioned via thread on this site, that person is of the under 18 age group, and I fear that they might be able to ignore, something someone says because they don't think it would offend someone else.
@mej2011
It *is* the case, and who needs tact when you can have humour. Not everyone takes every aspect of the world/life/internet deadly seriously. Take a chill pill, holmes!
@alk1991
Ohh, come on! Why assume that this is about you?
I don't know which is your thread that you're talking about, but honestly... I need to do "some growing up"? Perhaps - but then, I'm not the one leaping to conclusions, and deciding to take a relatively innocuous discussion thread as a personal attack.
@eyebrows
Ahh, I see! Thank you. ;)
(I'm clearly not up in my biblical studies enough!)
@mej2011
For italics, I use the emphasis HTML tag. Click on "How can I format my reply?" underneath the box you're typing in, for a full explanation.
I never singled out a particular person, or group of people; this thread isn't supposed to be an attack on anyone, just a bit of fun. Luckily, most people seem to be taking it that way!
@manek43509 Touché. I'll wear that. All the same, this seems a little facetious. Even if it is not aimed at me, I still think you could show a little more tact when making a point? This is after all a photography site not high school?
I don't get this thread... I think some posts were deleted or maybe I'm too tired. I'd love to know which one of my friends will stay on board because I'm a bit afraid of losing the awesome community here :(.
@eyebrows
Unfortunately for you, not everyone finds your brand of humor entertaining. @manek43509
I do not know how you can say that you never directed this thread at a particular group of people, when in fact, the the thread was obviously pointed at anyone who had posted recently about staying or not staying on the project. Anyways, thanks for the information on the formatting.
@mej2011
Fortunately for me, I thrive on this fact.
Can we stop this silly competition now? Some people think it's funny to satirise people who think the world revolves around them, and other people think the internet is serious business. There's not much more to say.
Due to comments being posted and then subsequently deleted, I am now utterly bewildered by this thread. Or maybe I just spend much of my time in a state of utter bewilderment. Either way - wtf?
Anyone else NOT leaving? :)
:P

That may or may not be the case. Still, there is a more tactful way to get your point across if you feel it necessary, than mocking people.
Yes, indeed. In much the same way that you can ignore this thread, if you find it upsetting.
On a serious note - I certainly never meant to offend anyone. In fact, it never even occurred to me that anyone might be offended by this.
haha, thank you!
(I'm afraid you are going to have to explain the "3:16" comment for me though. :/ Sorry!)

use (b)(/b) (i)(/i) with triangle brackets...
colours may also work?!?@manek43509 3:16 is a bible verse, I forget from which book, but it basically means "I approve of this thing" when someone uses it like I did.

But the internet is serious. That's why I have a special shelf for displaying all my Internet Awards.
