This is a great exercise in approaching people and getting permission to take and post their pictures. I started this project last month and have four pictures already included.
Hmm, thinking about this one. Considering it, just got to talk myself into doing it. People are very scary sometimes and this would definitely stretch me.....
@canon4life --- You are people. Are you scary? One would never expect you or anyone to approach someone that makes you very uneasy. That would be foolish. Number one, trust your instinct. Number two, trust your instinct. Number three, TRUST YOUR INSTINCT!
it's a great project, i started photographing strangers as soon as i started the 365 in january. it's been a great experience, i've met incredible people, seen things and points of view i don't think i ever would have noted on my own. i've only had one person all year say no when i told them what i was doing. in general people have been receptive and warm and curious. approach the "right people" as @dmortega said by going with your gut and you're on your way. i've had more fun with this series (tag "stranger faces") than any other by far.
@dmortega lol i just talked myself into doing it. Starting a blog page (its part way done) for it and will use some of the pictures here on my 365 page. When its finished its going to be called "Friends I haven't met" so i wont be stuck to just 100 people i can continue it as long as i want. Was given the idea for my name from a friend who says its an old irish proverb. Couldnt find the proverb but i did find a quote from Will Rogers: "Strangers are just friends i haven't met yet" Kinda excited now. Can hardly wait till i get it all set up and can take my first photo for it.
this would be fun. Maybe after I am done with my 365 (only 50 more days to go). Maybe it can be the start to a second year? Hmm. Sounds like fun though.
i was JUST reading this on flickr. wow, what a small world we have. i am trying to talk myself into it. sounds like so much fun and what a great way to learn, which i need to do. i am going to give this some thought.
This sounds like a cool project. This week I am doing a theme with another 365project user and it is challenging. We are to take photos of people for the whole week in black and white. Yesterday, I was stuck. I hope I do better today.
