Don't know is the honest answer. This looks like a cool shot to me. But since I am completely unable to use photoshop at all I don't actually know what miniature faking is.
@mmmchoc I think this can also be called tiltshift. I know there have been discussion threads about this before. Try searching in your search bar (top right) for tilt shift and you should be able to find those threads :o)
yep, it's definitely tiltshifting, traditionally you have a lens in 2 parts that is flexible (like a hose) and you twist / angle it to get these types of effects, photoshop does a half-decent reproduction, it's used in lime lapse videos quite often.
