Me too. I am a week behind on the project....I don't want to just take dumb filler photos either! Hmmmmmm. Hopefully we can get our creative minds working again!
Yes, I think I need to get away, go on holiday or something. Just looking around the same old stuff in my neighbourhood, it's really not inviting ! Hmmphhf @amers79
@miley89 My problem is I am 9 weeks pregnant and feel like crap! I haven't been leaving the house much, only to go to work. So....I think I've photographed everything in my house that is somewhat interesting, haha! Hoping to feel better soon so I can get out and find some cool stuff! :)
Yes, a holiday sounds good! go for it.
Aaaw.
I can't afford a holiday. Hopefully something interesting will come up. Suppose you just have to try and change the way you look at things. I haven't had a photo that I've been completely "happy" with for a while now.
Get some paper and a pen and brainstorm! I did this last week under 4 headings:
1. Portraits - people/animals you want to take pictures of, settings, body parts...
2. Still life - books, candles, food, settings, that sort of thing...
3. Outdoors things - buildings, scenes, places you've thought "ooh, I'd like to go back there with a camera!"...
4. Fun stuff - light painting, sparklers, water drops...
And then keep adding to it when you think of things and refer back to it when yo'ure feeling uninspired.
@miley89 Just keep shooting and put up anything! The inspiration will come back, just don't stop. :-) Trust me, at least one week a month is very uninspired, sometimes more
@miley89 If I posted only what I was happy with, I'd post nothing. For me, part of this project is to break that. Only glanced a bit through your project, but you do good work. As for inspiration, it can be tough. Pick an odd theme and challenge yourself to find shots, start a theme contest with a friend.
@amers79 lol. I've done the same thing around my house. I hate the days where I wander around the house looking for something interesting to photograph. Sometimes the themes get me inspired.
That's a very good idea, I kind of done that on the computer but I never look at it. Probably best to get down to old fashioned pen and paper @wormentude
@amers79 What about getting on the ground, at baby-eye level, and taking pictures of the things your baby will be seeing once he/she gets here? Or documenting the things you suspect will change once they arrive? You could even turn it into a "While You Were Cooking" type slide-show. And congrats! :D
@amers79 Just keep shooting! It has been said before. Also you can pick an older photo and try editing. And of course there are always enough theme going on here to keep you going!
me too i have just got back into my project after being a bit absent for the past month. I have just gone outside and done lots of outdoor shots and autumn shots. I am going to try the themes too
@miley89 my wife and I take random drives in the country or neighboring communities looking for the unexpected...one day she will chose a direction...one day I will chose a direction and then we both follow our hearts on what fork to take in a road...its a lot of fun :)
Me too. I am totally stuck in a rut right now. I actually took a photo of my washing machine the other day! Hopefully, I will get my inspiration back soon.
Well, you could always do what a newbie 365 user and I did. We started a theme per week and try stick to it. This is our third week. Since I am an ACE member I can add photos outside the theme if I happen to take additional photos. Anyone is welcome to join us. This week from its abstract - guess what it is?
Hi Miley
I often feel the same and dont actually get out much so I do understand how you feel. Saying that, I've just gone through your photos and I really love your style! I am so envious of your obvious creativity.
I just wanted to say.......in the words of Glee (is that too sad lol?) Don't Stop Believin'.
I hope more inspiration hits soon - I am sure it will, given what I've seen on your project. :)
Another much, much older Essex'er.......
