I am needing to take some family portraits of my family but my husband cant stand the cheesy expected poses. I would love some funideas on how to spruce it up andmake it fun instead of awkward. Its always weird to smile on demand. Thanks
I love taking pictures of family but it gets boring after awhile when all the frames are full of almost the exact same shots. I got this one yesterday and I thought it was cool!
This was another cool one:
I can sympathize with your dilemma- I'm usually the one who doesn't want to be in the picture! I like candid shots of family life, like the one below of my son interacting with his son. You can already see the special bond they have in the eye contact.
I also love @momsta 's shot and @rich57 's shot- they're just fun!!
@sheilamcd329 My hubby hates his photo ben taken, always did, so I wanted a family shot for my wall and I knew, 1) he would take a stiff, un-natural pose, and 2) he would hate to look at himself every day, so I got this. and included the dog for fun.
@sheilamcd329 I and my family went to one of those scary places with a professional photographer....he had us running around, squishing each other up close, all piled up on top of each other, the kids in fancy dress swinging ribbons around- one of the best ones had us all hold hands, run forward a little way and then run back against the wall and straight away squash up to each other. We were laughing so hard there was no danger of cheesy grins.

A moment captured, representing many similar gatherings.
I know some of them arent poses.. but you can set them up the same way in the same shot..
