Every fall I photograph my kids and use the photos as Christmas gifts. This year I posted photos from our shoot to my Facebook page and I began getting inquiries about doing photo shoots for others. I am thinking about creating a separate Facebook page to promote my photography but I cannot think of a unique name for myself. I would love to hear what my 365 family can come up with for me....I'm looking for suggestions!
Good looking kiddos and really nice photos as well. I like your last name, how about something simple like Tyre Photography? Hard to think of a business name for someone I don't know--but maybe a name based on a hobby or something special to you? What brought you to photography?
@clarissajohal ~ I've always enjoyed capturing life's moments on film, so to speak. Once I had children though I really discovered my love for taking pictures. I started getting tired of paying money for someone else to take pictures of my kids and I was never really satisfied with the pictures anyway. School portraits are the worst and sooo expensive. Three years ago I started doing my own and once I discovered 365 my obsession took off!! I like the idea of using my last name, however, it is my married name (I am now divorced but kept the name for the kids) and I don't anticipate having it forever. So for now that's a scratch. I agree 100%, school portraits really suck. You could get whimsical and name your business Piggy Bank Photos. I have no idea why that popped into my head, feel free to ignore it, lol Good luck!! I'm all for anyone starting their own business.
@michelletyre I was told recently that one thing that won't change is your name ... you're selling yourself and you're the brand ... just an idea to go with your name. I did for mine for that reason (and it was super easy to get the domain and name b/c it's a unique last name :)
Wow, I really like your portraits - I normally strongly dislike set-up portraits but these are so natural. Well done! All I can come up for now is something like "smileyface photography" or, if you want to underline the uniqueness of your shots, something like "funkyface or funface photography".
