Yeah, I heard about this about a month ago. It's basically RAW vs. JPG, except it concerns focus.
If they manage to make this technology available for digital cameras, it will just give Nikon and Canon an excuse to build another $6,000 DSLR. If they develop their own camera instead it will probably be limited in ability.
I think I'll just stick to actually focusing my shots instead haha.
Surely this takes the fun out of photography, i love going and playing around with the focus and if i get it wrong then its just part of getting better :)
