The time change her in the US is making it hard for me to get good pictures. I leave for work when it is dark and I get home when it is dark now. Is anyone else having this problem and how are you adjusting/motivating your picture taking for this project due to the change?
I need motivation or you will be seeing a lot of artificial light images of my dog!
Yup. See today's picture :') I literally have 5 minutes of daylight before leaving for my bus on a morning -.- and at work I go out in y lunch hour but I can't really take my camera to school :/
I'm finding the short daylight hours to be a problem, particularly on dreary overcast days. It's brought me back to the beginning of the project when I struggled for pictures then too.
same here in the UK... the Govt are thinking about going onto European time... which will mean Greenwich Mean Time will never actually be the time!! Will always be +1 or +2 hours ahead...
Not sure I agree tho... And neither would the Scots as it would be dark there until 10am in winter...
No time change here in queensland australia, though there are political parties that crop up from time to time called the time change party that actually want it *rolls eyes*. We did have trouble with the game we run since the server is in cali and did have the time change.
@cohare can you take a photo break at work? smokers get smoke breaks photographers should be allowed a break too!
@andycoleborn 10am! That would be horrible!! @neda I think the idea of a photo break is a good one. Nobody really would object. I just have to make myself do it! @jasonbarnette I have played with light trails before with little success. Maybe time to try again? Thanks for the idea!!
@cohare Well this time of year about all I ever get is light trails, long exposures, and sunsets. I've already posted a light trail and sunset in the past two days, and I'm thinking of posting another light trail tonight.
Guess we just gotta work with what we've got! Besides...we'll hit the Winter Solstice soon enough. I think haha.
I actually went out today during my breakfast time to get my daily shots. I had my husband put my breakfast in the oven to keep it warm for me. I used to take my daily shots in the late afternoon. Now, it is dark or almost dark during that time. Like @hasonbarnette I am trying to work with what I have. I don't like the time change!
I didn't get a photo in today at all. It is so hard to find something to shoot in the dark. Of course it doesn't help that I spent a good portion of the afternoon in a doctor's office and felt so crummy when I got home that I wasn't even excited when I saw a box with my newly purchased photography equipment in it. My husband said " You must be sick if you don't get excited with new camera stuff." maybe tomorrow will be better.
I take a lot during my lunch hour. The sun is usually harsh at that time, but it is the only time I usually have! I just drive around sometimes to find something that inspires me.

Have you ever tried light trails? Bet you can get sunsets on the way home each day now.
