.. just posting this cos i've not managed to take a single shot all week.
Combination of no opportunity, but mainly due to a sudden utter lack of inspiration and desire..
not like, oh have a break, more oh, 365? what's that?
its really weird and i feel photographically ashamed!
maybe its cos i have about 30 shots left to project end - dragging my feet keeps it going somehow, i dunno.
i mean this is strange posting this, but its not like i'm not enjoying seeing all you guys photos and stuff, just ground to A Halt. With no real Explanation. Deflated.
..hopefully writing this will kickstart my final run-in.
cheers/sorry/oops/thanks/etc/etc x
(shall i hit post shal li hit postsha lli hit postsh alli hitpos tshallihi tpo st....o go on then)
you ever consider just throwing in filler shots? i do it ALL of the time... and quite enjoy it. plus, i edit those old filler shots for a fresh new look to me.
@grecican oh, i have no problem with shots from other days. its my project, its how it works for me and my lifestyle..
i just gone uuuergghflat.
..but cheers!
Hopefully @sparkle will fill you with beer and beat you round the head with your dslr until you get your mojo back. You don't have to stop in 30 days - you're allowed to carry on!! Why not plan a little photo trip - that's what I do & Monty gets a whole new dog walk... Looks like I'm going to have to post fog for the next few days.
Noooooo dont give up. I love looking at your pictures. Get out. Have a dance. Have a beer. Leeds will win. The cloud will go and all will be good. Plus there's always the possibility of snow:)
@judithg@sleepdozer57 right mate, you'd better get yer mojo back soon or the beating might just kill us both - I'm sure to have jetlag on Thursday and Judith'll know if I didn't do a proper job!! Beer with me and blightygal is SURE to perk you up, can you hang in there for 6 days???
I know what you mean Peter, I'm 90 ish pictures away from finishing and really struggling. I'm not very happy with what I've posted over the last couple of weeks.....maybe it's the dark nights and shorter days ....maybe it's because a few people I've followed have given in and hung up their camera.....maybe it's just too hard to get over the finishing line.
Try a bit of street photography this weeken, maybe go and photograph an amateur footie match, maybe some macro shots are due ...I'm sure ..like a marathon runner you will get over the finish line ...a bit like leeds...us 365'er are 'marching on together' :)
I kinda felt like that when I was finishing the last year. It's was hard to push through but I just did and kept going. Maybe you could take this last month and post something special or meaningful to you as a way to finish it. The next year will be much easier because you've already tackled the first year. Anything goes after that. We tend to lighten up on ourselves and let it be whatever it will be.
@judithg@sparkle@fueast@dmortega Thanks you guys .. i know i know, i feel daft for even posting this, but thought it might pick-me-up. and thanks for your support, its very nice. @phil_howcroft ditto the above mate, and yeah, bit of macro action sounds good, and street would be great, but unlikely!
marching on together. on and on...
It's the weather mate... dark, dreary days, cold starts blah, blah make it hard to even think of a photo opp... and when you want to that's the hardest part... like being asked to tell a joke and going blank...
am lucky as have canary wharf and the river as easy fall back options... maybe thats what you need...
hopefully you'll get the mojo back as missing the great write ups you do...
I'm 90% in and feeling the same way. It must be the weather. Haven't posted anything I'm over the moon about for a while now. Keep plugging away though - you're almost there!
Hey zip I'm only 30 days in so what do I know about anything but I find it amazing that anyone would have constant inspiration to take a good and meaningful photo every day for a year. Doing 11 months without down times is quite an acheivement! And I have known you a long time but didn't realised you were such an amazing photographer - has 365 helped u be this? Anyway I always enjoy your pics, your attention to odd things that appear in life and your beautiful commentry. Maybe it's hard to follow on after your pumpkin head!
you ever consider just throwing in filler shots? i do it ALL of the time... and quite enjoy it. plus, i edit those old filler shots for a fresh new look to me.
or do you consider that cheating?
30 days, man... you can dooooooooo it!
i just gone uuuergghflat.
..but cheers!
hope you get your groove back soon, mate!

@rach57 ..and thanks rach, yeah that bloody pumpkin drained my brain. sun's shinning today!
The sun makes everything feel much better today though. The trees still look amazing - these colours are going on for weeks!
