I've been signed up for ages...but I don't get it! Everything seems to be bits and pieces of conversations. After a couple days of snooping, I gave up.
@pete21 I just went back to have a look. Still the same! I just don't get it!! Makes me feel a little bit dumb lol! I'm sure there's a twitter for dummies book out there.
I'll follow you, if I can figure out how!
@pete21 yes, I have been using it for about two years. I love it for many reasons. If I miss the news, I can type in a hashtag (e.g. #Packers) with the # in front of it and I get really current info. My specialty is a wellness Nurse, so I follow health related people, and learn a lot from them when they post links. I also tweet a few of my photos from 365, and 365 does have a page: https://twitter.com/#!/365Project and I am https://twitter.com/#!/NurseForHealth
Have fun!
I started Twitter months ago, but didn't really start using it until about a month ago. I use it strictly for business as a way of promoting my photography, keeping up with photography news and other photographers, and retweeting interest shizz.
@mackena@shutterbugger - Twitter takes a bit of getting used to. At first I was completely lost. Think of it as a way of texting on your computer. Short bursts of information about yourself. Follow a lot of people and you'll not only have plenty of material to talk about, but you'll also see how they treat Twitter.
If you want to follow me, you can go through my list of people I follow. I follow lots of photographers, photography business locations, and photography news sites. Since i use it all for business, just about everyone on my list is for business. Sorry if I don't follow you in return, but I don't follow individual people who talk about what they had for breakfast :P Sorry! http://twitter.com/barnettejason
@pete21@jasonbarnette I've also signed up to it for business purposes, purely on the strength of personal recommendation.
Time will tell whether I get to grips with it or not... I figure there must be something in it, given its popularity, so I'll see how I get on!
Not sure how many people there are in the engraving industry on twitter, talking about the trade, perhaps I'll be starting a trend given that it's not quite such a mainstream subject as photography!
Wish me luck...
Find me @cromertrophies - all followers welcomed!
I have managed to tweet my latest 365 photo though :-)
I'll follow you, if I can figure out how!
@minxymissk got ya :-)
Have fun!
