Amazon is having a special today on this model.($50 off an all ready low $309 with a special code) The NY Times gave it a good review as a summer travel companion because of its GPS and ability to shoot panoramas, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with it as more than a novelty.
I use the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 for more than half of my pictures and absolutly love it.... That sounds like an offer too good to miss. They use LEICA lens and local photographic shop here that stocks full range of stuff highly recommends Panasonic Lumix. Don't know the one you're talking about but I'd reckon it should be a good buy.
Thanks, Elizabeth, for your insights. I guess my real issue is whether I want to spend any money on another P&S no matter how many bells and whistles it has. My Canon elph does a great job within its limitations. I wonder how much more I could expect from the Panasonic at $300. I realize this is something only I can determine but every time I read a review I get a bad case of camera lust!
