Frames

So, I'm looking to make a gift for one of my friends that is an 8 1/2 x 11 autographed setlist from a concert that we went to, along with a few prints that I took. I am having a really tough time finding a frame with 8 1/2 x 11 and more smaller photos. Has anyone seen anything like this?

@musicguy1982 Do you have a Target nearby? I know the ones here have a pretty good selection of multiple-photo frames. Although - the 8.5x11 size is going to be tricky. Do you have time/funds to take it somewhere like Hobby Lobby or Michaels, someplace they can do matting and custom framing?

I wonder how much something like that would run.

You could get one custom cut.I have had them done at Michaels craft stores and for something basic I think it may be around $20. If you don't want to do custom, try looking for a frame with a document matting. I believe most people use them for diplomas and such but I think it is a standard 8.5 x 11 opening. Good luck!

www.americanframe.com has some great quality frames, expensive and in-expensive, wood, metal and will cut your matte to fit....check them out! You can order it complete or put it together yourself (it's easy, a couple of screws) It will be cheaper than micheals or another similar frame shop, at least in my experience.

About the only kind of 8.5 x 11 frames I've found are document/certificate frames. The standard is 8 x 10, yet that doesn't seem to be the standard photo size from a camera before cropping. Doesn't make sense to me!

@musicguy1982 The A. C. Moore by me is constantly putting coupons out for their custom framing. If you're not doing anything fancy as far as matting goes and choose a basic frame, I don't think it would be all that expensive and it would certainly preserve the autographed picture as the collectible that it is.

I see you live in the States. A great local company with online ordering - Documounts (documounts.com) cuts frames to order size. I get a lot of frames there. They've had free shipping recently, but I think it may have expired a few days ago.
