Just wanted to share my work on this weeks editing challenge. I WILL NOT enter it in the challenge since i am hosting this week. I thought it turned out pretty good and was easy to do.
@judithdeacon love your reaction! and thank you! :) Just start dabbling and learning masking and working with layers and the sky is the limit just believe in your vision and learn a bit here and there to figure out to make it come together :)
@loztsoul Awesome! King Kong came out really nice....we have King Kong, X-Men, Star Trek, Star Wars, Poltergeist, aquariums, dead folks and future worlds in this challenge with a few more days to go!
@photodreamm No they don't! WWYD is all about learning to edit as long as you give it your best shot, Learning new things to improve your editing skills is always a good thing (you should look back at some of my 1st edits...I have improved probably 80% from where I started out) their is never a right or wrong way of doing a edit as long as you like it :)
@relicsong thanx Beth ..I'm so new to photography and see everyone's beautiful pictures on here it gets me down sometimes but your right! I'm doing things now that I didn't even know about two months ago :-) thanx for the kick in the pants
@photodreamm your welcome :) I have learned a lot about editing from watching videos on You Tube then taking what I have learned and trying to improve on it. We all get down sometimes you just have to keep pushing forward.
@photodreamm you shouldn't get too disheartened a few years ago I couldn't even begin to think about doing half the stuff I do now in Post processing once you learn the basics of layers and masks its like the whole world opens up keep doing what you do its only by experimenting that we work out what is possible :)
@photodreamm Lee, Trevor and Beth (@asrai , @loztsoul & @relicsong) are absolutely correct - learn the basics, keep trying new things, watch videos and experiment, and most of all never give up. I was in the same situation as Lee, I have people that work for me that use Photoshop and other tools daily and I got tired of not knowing how to use the tools myself. I committed myself to 365 to learn to take better pictures and editing tools. I'm in my second year of 365 and the process works. Life is short, have fun ;-)
You guys and gals are doing a great job. I hope for more outstanding edits before it ends on Sunday. I also have learned from reading & videos its just a matter of putting in the time. I have been working on another for everyones viewing pleasure may post this afternoon. When I posted this pic I thought it left a lot of room to push your imagination to the limit. So far it looks like its working! Well Done Everyone!!!
