Livestrong Day, October 2--a taste of yellow

September 19th, 2012
There was a 365 member @winosandfoodies aka Barbara Harris that had this theme a couple years ago http://365project.org/discuss/general/1530/join-me-and-celebrate-livestrong-day-october-2nd and I just learned that she passed away June 2012. Theme--food shot containing a yellow food and one or more hearts. I will be using this theme on October 2 in her memory and also for Livestrong day. If you would like to join me, tag with Livestrongday and/or atasteofyellow

@weshook I'm so sorry to hear that news. I love yellow and have in fact just posted a toasted heart for today...not quite yellow but I'll endeavour to join in on 2nd October with you. I'll put it on the calendar now :)

@weshook
I will also make a note and try to do something yellow for the theme.

I think that Livestrong is a great foundation and I hope it will not get any negative backlash as a result of the actions ( in my opinion, unjust ) against Lance Armstrong.

I have put it in my phone to remind me I might have to take my photo either this weekend or next. Is that okay or are you wanting a photo taken on Oct 2?
@jdonnelly I agree with you.

A lovely way to remember someone - two days before my (late) dad's birthday. I'll do my best to remember.

I'll join in for sure - for several years I was the co-head coach for the Bay Area chapter of the Leukemia Society's Tour of the California Alps endurance cycling team (a.k.a. known in the cycling community as the Death Ride).

Thanks for remembering Barbara in this special way, Weslyn. I took part in Barbara's 2010 event and look forward to joining you on October 2 in her memory. She was a wonderful, talented, and courageous woman who gave cancer a fierce fight.

@peggysirk I didn't know her personally, but on here, through her blog and on flickr, but even so, she touched my life.
