This is a fab challenge and a great way to practice working with layers and editing... this challenge is for all levels - you don't have to be an expert... just let your creative juices flow and jump right in!
A composite photograph is one that is made up of several photographs or pieces of photographs which have been merged or layered together. It can also include textures and effects that have been applied to the picture as well. Composite photography gives you a lot of room for creativity and ingenuity as you manufacture photos composed of elements that might not necessarily be found together in reality but somehow they seem completely at home with one another in the picture.
For this round I have chosen the theme of Water - Any kind of water is OK, maybe create some river monsters, an ocean scene, an unexpected downpour, or even a crazy reflection. That's the fun of a composite, anything goes!
For our composite challenge here on 365 you must use one picture that is completely yours but you can blend in other images, such as stock images, if you so choose. Just keep in mind that should you use an image that is not yours it should be licensed as free to use for any purpose. Here are a couple of sites that have stock images:
also, there are a ton of YouTube tutorials on composite photography... below is a link to a site with over 100 tutorials... hopefully that will give you some ideas to get started with...
It's not mandatory, but it would be great if you could share your image to this thread to give others inspiration
Have fun and enjoy :)
