New Eye Of The Beholder Challenge!

April 15th, 2022
Thank you @njmom3 for hosting the recent Eye of the Beholder challenge. I am honored to host the 143rd EOTB challenge.

What is the Eye of the Beholder all about? It boils down to finding the extraordinary beauty of an ordinary, unexceptional, almost mundane or unattractive subject, that others probably wouldn't photograph. The main criteria is if people were watching you take the photograph, they would be wondering what on earth has possessed you to photograph something which seems so ordinary, plain, bland, boring, or ugly.

This challenge is about using light, the rules of composition and your photographer's eye to find the beauty in your subject. You will need to find a way to portray your subject in a way that comes across differently and aesthetically pleasing.

A bit of post-processing is okay, but please go lightly with edits -- there are other challenges for processing - and it's your subject that needs to shine through!

Challenge Tag: EOTB-143
Start Date: April 11 (backdated to the end of the previous one)
End Date: May 10

Only the usual two rules; the photos must be taken within this time frame and taken by you. Enter as often as you find subjects in which you find beauty, but I may only select one of your entries to be shortlisted.

Current entries can be seen here:

Please consider posting your images to this thread to inspire others.

Good luck, and free your photographer’s eye!
