I'm going to be taking the month of August to be internet-free because I feel ridiculously internet dependent. I'm not going to stop my 365 project, though, so I'll be uploading a ton of pictures Sept 1. I'm looking for something (a theme, some general ideas, whatever) that would hopefully keep me inspired through the month without the net. Any suggestions? :)
Well, there's a Monday selfie challenge, so you could give each day a theme/ challenge and that would give you some rythm to the month. Close-ups, landscapes, people, silhouttes/reflections, nature, buildings... endless really. Meagan Aaron (@meggageg) did an incredible inspiration article recently that I can't find right now (and I thought I'd bookmarked it...) so perhaps she can help with the link to that and you could work your way through that. Good on you for putting a healthy restriction in your life. We could all detox from technology every now and then.
@jessicaelaine There is a new discussion posted called Same Scene, Different Time which you could do on a weekly basis. Pick a busy street or neighborhood, bus stop, train station, supermarket parking lot- whatever! And go there at a different hour each day, or same time on different days- whichever variation suits you. Other ideas; watch something grow (garden plants), if you have a family follow the hobby- a project from start to finish_ of one or more of your children, sisters, etc. Photograph your family tree by taking pictures of everybody's hands, smiles, eyes, or portrait. Maybe those will help you or cause you to think of one on your own- Wishing you success with your personal challenge!
There have been recent discussions about peoples accounts being deleted for not loggingin. If you don't log in for a few weeks, you will get an email saying that your account will be deleted. Just a heads up. So maybe you don't want to go a month without internet(at least not 365 anyway).
Lots of ideas, thank you! :) I really wish that I could do the family tree idea, but my family is spread over the country and very few of us are here together. :(
There it is!
