I did a self portrait challenge in June, and the movie challenge in July. I'm failing miserably at keeping up with the movie challenge, and I think it's because I had a set list and some days it was hard to find an idea for the movies I had left. I was going to take a break in August, but I've decided to try a different type of challenge; one that doesn't have a set list. I've decided to do cliches. I'm going to pick one a day and try to represent it. Sounds like a good plan [ask me again mid August, and my response might be different]. I know people are already doing the happy challenge, but if anyone wants to join in, please do! I'm going to tag mine "augustchallenge-cliches". Anyone else want to participate?
I'm sure I can come up with a few- I feel like I'm getting overwhelmed by all the challenges- but I still think they're a lot of fun. This one should be very creative!
@olivetreeann There are a lot of them. I like having options though. Sometimes people post challenges I would never think of. They typically help me come up with new ideas.

@amz87 You don't have to, but it's nice when others join in. It helps give inspiration. I especially like when multiple people pick the same thing to represent. It's interesting to see how everybody does it.
@triciaanddazzle It's a fun idea! I went through the list and got a few ideas. I just don't have the attention span to do it for the whole month lol. Who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself!
That's virtually my entire ethos. I'm still hoping to win a weekly theme somehow so I can set the next one to be "satirise other people's clichéd shots"

I've decided to make August all about the boy; my son turns 2 on the 15th (right in the middle) so it "his" month... but a few cliches could be fitted in.. ;-)
@brumbe Jani and I talked about me doing an abstract challenge since he always posts such cool kitchen objects, but I'm going to wait until September or October.
