Okay, so I want to enter this, and need to have my prints ordered by 4pm today... (I realise I'm leaving this a little late!). Anyway, I've narrowed it down to 13 photos, but I can't narrow it down to 4! This is where you guys come in... help?!
Oh, and sorry for being rather inactive these last couple weeks. Since I got back from Scotland I've been really busy and haven't had time to update... I have taken my daily photo, and I shall be putting them up soon :)
i would go with the owl(owl pics are rarely seen ime)
a bee(it has flowers aswell and the bee plight is quite upfront in people's minds)
the puffin with it's wings out(a bit of a more unusual puffin capture imo)
and the cow because they are beautiful creatures
Knowing this competition and the many entries it gets, you need something eyecatching and a bit different. I think 3 and 4, the puffins, quite classic but a def symbol of part of our coastline. Then the orange tip and then probably the barn owl. Good luck!
I thought of the cow too...but since I'm not sure exactly what the competition is it made me think of country anyway! I love the puffins, too, and the owl is truly beautiful.
If ranking them from Left to Right - # 1(eagle) , 3 (Puffin), 11 (wildflowers) and 13 (Owl). I know what this competition is about and I wish you lots of luck.
I reckon the flapping Puffin and the owl are my top two but the poppy really shouts at me as well - good luck!! I'd love to have something to enter (my photos are not really rural enough amongst other deficiencies!) - last year's winners were beautiful. Good luck!!
I've left it later than this... Need to get them printed tomorrow. Do you know what size they have to be? And do you have to pay an entry fee? I thought there was one, but now I can't see it.
@wormentude
They can be whatever size you want. I chose to print at 12" x 8" (£1.25 per photo on Bootsphoto.com). Usually they say at least 7" x 5". An no, no entry fee. Good luck!
As for me... I've printed 12 of the above as it was cheaper than I was expecting, so I still have a few days to decide which to send! Thanks for your opinions guys!

Everyone who's said number one and number thirteen... I was looking through the rules, and it says "Photos of domestic animals (ie pets), zoo animals and cultivated plants are not eligible. Images of British wildlife in captivity must be declared as such." Those two pictures are both of birds in a bird sanctury... do you think they'll still be eligible? I believe they're on rehabilition programs... but until they're released they're in captivity. It doesn't specifically say there that "in captivity" isn't eligible...
its not easy, i would go with your gut feeling the one you like best of all ....i like your poppy along with the puffin head shot & kestral head .....I entered this one in the landscape section early this week ,its a bit of a lottery but its worth a go ... I dont expect anything ...lol
p.s. tesco do a pretty good service on printing if you have a Tesco extra store near you ... 6x4 .. just 30 pence other sizes available .. i printed my own
a bee(it has flowers aswell and the bee plight is quite upfront in people's minds)
the puffin with it's wings out(a bit of a more unusual puffin capture imo)
and the cow because they are beautiful creatures
buttom left (3) for the first collage

If you order Mon-Fri before 4pm it's same day dispatch and it takes 1-3 days after to arrive I think.
@steveh
Lovely landscape shot! Good luck :)
