I just got me a new Canon dslr. So of course I need a camera bag. I found this website during my search. So to my ladies out there, hope this website is to your liking.... :)
@bec01 Oooh! Exciting! Which colours did you go for?! I hope you'll like it as much as I like mine (I'll feel bad if you don't!). Incidentally, having read that someone else said it failed the "egg test", I'd originally said I was going to get some more foam for the base. I eventually got round to doing that yesterday. I ordered a 12x6x0.5" piece of Plastazote from a local foam/upholstery shop. It cost £1.50 and I'll be picking it up next week. I'm sure it may have been cheaper if I'd shopped around in craftshops etc but for £1.50 I wasn't going to waste more time looking.
@lluniau I have gone for the distressed mahogany leather, brown strap and blue geometric fabric. it took me about 6 hours to decide on that combination!! It has worked out quite a bit cheaper than the epiphanie price wise so i am happy with that. Can't wait for it to come now. Yours and Autumn's pictures have been really helpful though so thanks..x
@bec01 Yay! I am excited for you! Share pics when it arrives. By the way, @lluniau@bec01, Did either of you contact Robyn and ask her if it was possible to have foam padding added into the bottom of the bag? I wasn't concerned about it for myself but I am sure she would be open to the request if you contacted her and asked. She may even have a reason why she has not been including foam in the bottom. Just a thought! I know she was very good about communicating with me when I had questions and a suggestion. =)
For anyone who might carry a Timbuk2 messenger bag, they just came out with these awesome removable camera gear inserts that fit into those. I'm thinking of trying one for my Tim bag. :)
I just have a larger Coach purse. I got it at the outlets for far less money than one of these purpose built camera bags. I'm not really worried with padding, I never toss my purse around anyway. When I'm out seriously shooting I use my Lowepro backpack, anyway.
I am so loving your bags! I still haven't decided yet. @hmgphotos' idea is also a good one. I was actually eyeing one online. :) @beautifulthing that's a pretty cute bag too. Not as expensive as the other ones.
