I have a series of pictures from today that I want to present as a collage. Something similar to this by Yoori http://365project.org/yoori/365/2011-09-02
Can someone give me some tips on how you might do this? I have a very basic knowledge of photoshop, and I use Picnik a little bit, so something simple would be great. Thanks.
@gavincci@debsulzberger@parisouailleurs@cjwhite Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I ended up doing one on Picnik, which was pretty simple and it seemed to turn out okay. Will try some of the other suggestions next time. Thanks.
@stuckinoz Picnik is great for collages. I do them quite often on it. This is probably something like what you'd like to do. Instead of going horizontally, I put the pictures vertically because I wanted to show as much of the shoes as possible. I put the spacing between the photos at 10 and then added a border frame. That's as simple as it gets. This format is available in the free program under collages. Before I used Picnik, I also used the photo program in my computer. It didn't give me the option of adding a frame though, so I've been using Picnik all the time now. Hope that helps!
I use photoshop. Here is one way.
Open the images you wish to use. Resize them to approximately the size you wish them to be in the collage. Create a new, blank, image. Go to each photo, select all, copy, then paste into your blank image. Each photo you paste will be on its own layer and can be repositioned using the move tool. They can also be resized using transform>scale. In the layers palette you can then add drop shadows, borders, transparency, etc.
Is there a way to use Picnik before you upload something to 365? I found that it wanted to replace the picture I linked from with the new one I had uploaded and modified.
