Looking for equipment for my Nikon D3100

I am looking for a tripod and more lens for my camera I currently have a 15mm - 55mm lens and a 55mm-300mm lens but I want a lens for wide shots and just looking for other equipment. So I need some advice on what to get and where to go. So any input would be wonderful!! Thanks!!

I've used a variety of wide lenses including the Tokina 12-24mm f/4, the Nikon 18-55mm f/2.8, and the Nikon 12-24mm f/2.8. Truth is, the Tokina is half the price of the Nikons but just as sharp. It isn't as fast at an f/4 but I have never had problems with it.

You might also look into the Nikon 35mm f/1.8. It is super fast and the fastest wide angle lens Nikon makes.

@jasonbarnette is bang on about the Nikon 35mm f/1.8. this lens is what is most often on my camera body. i'm still in major love with it even about 6 months post-purchase. incredible for portraits and low light conditions.

For a tripod one of the sturdiest is Manfrotto, if you can afford it get the fiberglass one
