Lower than this - but not much. I think they were probably going to land in a field about a mile away from us. The balloon lost a considerable amount of height while I was watching it. This was the lowest I could go before it started disappearing.
There's a business offering balloon trips not very far from here and we used to see lots of them mornings and evenings at certain times of the year. There's not so many now, maybe because people can't afford to take the trips so much any more. Sad.

It has letters on the side like the ones I see on small planes under the wings. I wonder if all hot air balloons have them?
