The catkins are ageing and the new leaves are in bud. The wheel of the year turns inexorably and Spring's pace quickens.
I thought it sounded better than "here's some old catkins I saw outside the farm shop" and they and the leaf buds made me think of the way time passes.
The garage is now no more. An old, forgotten path that was part of the concrete pad has been unearthed and will allow for a larger shed, and one of next door's cats thought it was a Hollywood star and left pawpints in the concrete filler the builder put down this afternoon.
We went to Milton Keynes to buy Lester some new trousers and called in at our favourite tea rooms on the way home. Late this afternoon I went to the local farm shop to buy food for tonight's meal, and take today's photo. And that was our day. :-)
