Lester and I have a mental list of places to go to when we want an outing, don't want to go too far and can't think of anywhere new to go. They're places that we know we can spot something a little different each time we go there.
Cliveden's quite high on the list and that's where we went today.
Somehow or the other (probably because of never bothering to take up the offer of a map at the entrance!) we've never come across the Long Garden before. Today we found it and at last I got a go at one of these long, central perspective shots. Yay!
If you look at the distance between the urns in the foreground and the statues a ways into the shot, and then double that distance, that's how long the garden is. Quite aptly named, I think.
I hope this looks straight. I've done my best to get it straight. Getting straight shots/straightening shots (even with a grid to help) is not a strong suit. And If somebody had've sited the urns squarely it would have helped as well. :-)

This is a really super shot - So nice and straight leading the eyes inward - beautiful gardens and everything so green. Looks like a nice day for you two.
It looks very straight to be, and it's a brilliant POV! Lovely image and I'll say it again, you and lester certainly get around. It's great to see what you've been exploring!
Beautiful perspective and very straight! Just takes your eye on so well. Just as well you didnt have the map at first, there are still surprises to be had!. A really lovely shot, love the way the bushes are shaped.
