Wooden fruit

Another go at low key stuff.
I've been having a few issues with trying to get this to look the same way here as it does on my image viewer, so if anyone's happened to spot it popping on and off their home pages, please excuse me.
This is a wonderful low key shot. Good job.

The low key is so effective, it looks like an Old Master! I like the markings on the wood.

@anazad511 Thank you Ana.
5 or 6 times a year there are craft fairs held in fields not far from us and several wood turners sell their products. They all make these pieces of fruit and I occasionally see a piece I particularly like and buy it. They are approximately 3 inches - 8cm - tall and are reasonably priced.

@dulciknit - oh i love craft fairs and have gotten so many things in them. Actually this weekend there is one of the largest and I'm anxiously waiting for it. Those wooden fruits are so pretty; take good care of them.

This is beautifully done. Great low light effect and superb against the black background. The wood textures and design and well shown even in the low light. I have a couple of wood turned fruit but not with the lovely decoration on them.
