Lester and I had a great time at Steam - the Museum of the Great Western Railway [aka God's Wonderful Railway] yesterday. It's in Swindon : http://www.steam-museum.org.uk/Pages/Home.aspx
This is the underside of Caerphilly Castle, an express, steam locomotive built at the Swindon works in 1923. She ran until 1960 which was about the time when steam gave way to diesel and electric engines in the UK.
I love looking at the wonderful engineering that went into these beautiful machines.

So just how did you get this shot?! Is the train raised or were you flat on your back inviting curious glances?!! Amazing detail, the pov however you achieved it, really reveals the intricate engineering.
@kazlamont@jackie8@cimes1 Thank you, ladies. The engine has an inspection pit underneath. It's about 7 feet deep, maybe a bit more, so I was standing upright. You can see part of one of the sets of steps to the pit at the centre bottom of the shot.
I can vouch for the beauty of this wonderful museum. I have been there a few years ago and have loads of photo to prove that. Love how you took this shot. I must go search my photos to see if I have taken one similar to this.
