very cool night shot... great perspective, and fun to have that photo given all the goings on... i'm actually kind of jealous because i was in montreal over the weekend and would have loved to get out to SEE things... but there just wasn't the time...

Yes, these are the student protests. This particular night there was a big party on the street for the Grande Prix. The protests were supposed to be naked but I missed those. My brother lives in Montreal and took me for a beer the next day. Even though I have seen a lot on the news, I was surprised by the amount of unrest, the numbers on the streets and the police presence even early in the afternoon. The whole city felt on edge.
