Our hometown hosts the Extravaganza each July, and growing up, this was the premier Saturday of the summer because it was a chance to meet up with all my friends that I hadn’t seen since school ended. At the time, it was a pretty lame craft show followed by a fantastic fireworks display. Recently, it has been transformed into a multiday event complete with carnival rides. I went tonight with my husband, son, parents, sister @mcdougall and my soon to be brother-in-law. My son has never been to a carnival and really enjoyed looking at all of the rides and sharing ice cream with his grandfather, Baba.
I was there on Saturday night for the fireworks. My mother and sister's family still live in town and I brought my daughter and her friend. They had fun on the carnival rides. It brought back a lot of my childhood memories with Extravaganza fireworks with family and friends. Great picture of the carnival ride.
