My 18 month old son and I had a very difficult morning, so I was counting down the minutes until nap time. It is amazing how a three hour nap is such a mood changer. He woke up in a fantastic mood and just put his head on my shoulder and hugged me. We opened the blinds and watched the torrential downpour which brought the cutest smile to his face. It is the type of smile that just melts your heart because you are seeing your child experience pure joy over something so simple as the rain. The good mood stuck, and I was actually sad to put him to bed tonight.
