A little adventure to Charleston, SC

My husband, son and I set off early this morning to visit Charleston,SC. It was so fantastic because we got to meet up with my great friend and roommate from college Lee @lnodes. We haven't seen each other since college, so it was fantastic to catch up. She picked a delicious restaurant, and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Lee left after lunch to pick up her boys from school, so my husband and I took my son around the city. There were a bunch of horses over by where we ate lunch, and my son just kept smiling, saying "horse" and cracking up. It was so cute to see him so happy. We then went to the Battery, and my son threw acorns around the park. Filthy and exhausted, we loaded him into the car and headed back to Hilton Head. He never ended up sleeping on the two hour drive back, but he was still great the rest of the day.

On a side note, my son had a big advancement today. While walking around the city my husband asked my son if he wanted him to pick him up, and he responded "no mama". This was the first time he put two words together. Then, later we saw a boy on a skateboard and he said "skateboard". Such a great speaking day!

My husband, son and I just got back from 10 wonderful days on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, so I am playing catch up on editing and uploading my photos from the trip.
Those trees look amazing! I like how you kept a tree trunk in the front of the shot like that sowing it's awesome texture. Cute shot, great composition and it sounds like it was a fun busy day!!
