This is our seventh day without power, and I am getting a little frustrated because it does not seem like anything is being done to fix the issues. Our town has been 75% out of power for two days now, and tonight, that number jumped to 84%. How is it going up?
The part that I find really annoying is that the electric company changed their outage map. At the beginning of the storm, the ranges were in 20% increments and color coded accordingly. 100%-81% was black, and so on. Now, 100%-91% is black, 90%-81% is brown and all of the colors are happy, bright colors now rather than muted ones. [SOOC]
I had heard that sometimes they have to cut power temporarily in some spots to fix others, but that is a best cue scenario explanation for this and probably not the real one. I'd also heard that we have less outside help this time because CT didn't pay the bills for Irene yet. I'd also heard that it's simply because our Governor is a huge a-hole--oh wait, it was my mom that said that. In any case, I agree that this is ridiculous
