Oh my today was tough. I had to take M to get his flu shot today, and when we walked into the nurse's office, he started hitting me. She gave him the shot, and it didn't really even phase him. Then, he got crazy because he wanted to stay and play with the dump truck. I counted to 3, he didn't listen, so I told him that I wasn't driving by the construction site on the way home. I took the back exit out of the parking lot, and of course there was construction. I was so annoyed that I actually told him to close his eyes because he wasn't allowed to look (actually laughed internally at my craziness). That was just one incident. There were may more.
Here he is sitting in timeout for some other infraction. This photo makes my heart hurt because he looks so sad.
Those days are sent to test us! The bit about closing his eyes really made me chuckle! I feel 3 years old myself sometimes with the arguments I get into with my son! I hope you rewarded yourself with wine and M is over his drama's today.x
Ah, bless you and him and all those moments. Your story about telling him to shut his eyes because he was "grounded" from construction really cracks me up because I can so relate to it, lol. Cheerier days ahead!
