My husband and I are going away for the weekend for a belated anniversary celebration. I told the boys this morning and M didn't take it well. He was really emotional and cried a lot. To try to help, I drew a schedule of all the great things he was going to do with both grandparents. L was ok and started drawing lots of L's.
Love the idea of this. How cute is it to write on a chalkboard? I want one for our place. Is this the painted on kind?
I was telling my son a school memory tonight about not being able to read the board when I was in 6th grade. That is when we realized I needed glasses. He asked if it was a white board and I said, no, a chalk board. Or was it an overhead projector. He had NO CLUE what I was talking about. I described it to him and he looked at me blankly. It's like we grew up in prehistoric days. In the 1900's!!:)
@amandal it is the painted kind. It is pretty tall. You can only see the bottom half but the boys have fun with it. I think to put two coats of paint it was a two hour project. The only negative is it gets a little dust on the floor. Ours is in the corner of a hall so it isn't a big deal but I wouldn't want it in the kitchen or a high traffic area.
