The gulls and pelicans swarm the humpback whales as they come up and feed; lazy the birds are trying to feed on the fish the whale has brought up. Sometimes, they do get too close and don't get out of the way on time and the whale has to spit them out and, well, it's not a happy ending for the birds. These guys are amazing - still here - in the harbor now, still, and wow - it just never gets old. Thank you for your wonderful comments - they inspire and keep me motivated! Thanks to pixelchix aikiuser and catwhiskers for another great whale watching adventure.
