Immature Coopers (?) Hawk by elatedpixie

Immature Coopers (?) Hawk

This guy was on our patio - unfortunately, he caught a finch so in this shot, I cropped in to get rid of that and the reflection of blinds on the glass - he got spooked and flew off with the remains of the songbird. He was small so we're guessing a juvenile?
When my hubs came into the room to tell me he was on the patio etc. I totally didn't believe him... why didn't I believe him? Because he didn't grab his camera! Once he processed it in his mind - he went for his camera and I knew... it's really out there!

Thank you for all your comments - Hopefully I'll get to respond soon - please know they are all read and much appreciated. You all keep me motivated to keep shooting and totally inspire me your beautiful photos! Hope everyone has a good week.
What a beauty! If it looked small for a Coopers, it may be a Sharp shinned hawk. They look very similar
