This is a shot of the wildflowers that creating the multicolored rolling hills of the Plain. I think it’s a bit easier on the eye on black...This was not at the height of the bloom but toward the end (once spring rolls to warmer temps, the flowers die and the weeds remain, till they die and we’re left with more of the desert landscape - beautiful in its own right). This shot to me is overwhelming as the eye seems to not know where to looks and the brain goes into over sensory - making me think the flowers are blurred when, in reality, if I pixel peep the photo, I can see the detail of the Lupine (blue purple in the middle of the scene) in particular, I can see the detail and appreciate all the individual flowers.
I hope you enjoy and also, I should mention, the Lupine smell wonderful! I’ll share more and maybe not so overwhelming. I might try processing down and see what my brain thinks but I wanted you to see like we saw and yup, it was overwhelming at times, but in the best way.
1/2 the weeks down, onto the latter 1/2 and as I mentioned earlier, soylentgreenpics and I have the rest of the week off to celebrate his birthday. Yay! No work till Monday!

What beautiful striations of those overwhelming colors! We didn't get up there this year, but even around SB the hillsides were beautiful! Any whale sightings yet? Am I too late?
@Weezilou You’re definitely not too late! We generally see them here about now and into June. The orcas are already here - in Morro Bay. They’re wildly active in Monterey if you’re able to go North of us a few hours! When I start seeing them as I make my way home from the office, I’ll be sure to let you know.
Oh such a breathtaking scene! Fabulous layers of colour with the gorgeous lupins standing out! Love it! How strange Louise @weezilou asking about the whales as I was just thinking about them yesterday and remembering your wonderful captures! The thought of you seeing whales on your journey home from work blows my mind! What a great place to live!
