No need to comment, a not terribly successful attempt at focus stacking five separate shots. Not as sharp as I'd hoped, but at least I managed to work out what I was supposed to be doing with the layer masks - this may just become the latest obsession!
since I don't know what you were aiming for, all I can say is that I was struck by the moment of that lower drop nearly falling and the little lens flare is cute, so I like it!
I photo club just had someone talk about and share how he does focus stacking. I donât have any of the software to put the stack back together, but did sound interesting. I love your shot. Love the pov, the colors, the drops and the bottom drop with the reflection.
@koalagardens Focus stacking is extending your depth of field with macro or close ups by keeping the camera on a tripod and focussing on various separate sections of the picture so that (hopefully) when they're stacked together in PS or similar (I used Elements and Panorama mode) all of the picture is sharply in focus. Am struggling with this such a lot! The lens flare was a cheat as it was added in Picmonkey just after I'd put this shot up, I realised the poor daisy had two stems and had to camouflage this:)
I tried this once, but have now completely forgotten how to do it. I like your little starburst 0 it balances out the drop. The resultant image may not have achieved your objectives, but certainly looks sharp enough to me and is quite delightful.
