This lovely stone face is set into the archway around the porch entrance to our village church. I have no idea who she was or for how long she has been there (the church is over 600 years old) but I do think she looks content. (That is, I think she's a she).

Thank you all - I pass this beautiful building every day and there are still so many features to spot. To think it was there and saw the reformation (Tudor times, Henry VIII etc) is incredible. We are very lucky indeed to have it in our midst.
