Had a super trip with the 5/6/7-yr-olds at school today - to the Shuttleworth collection nearby to investigate the history of transport. They take great pride in the fact that they are housing a collection, not a museum, as all their planes are in working order and indeed they fly several at their flying days in the summer months. Wonderful to look up and see a hurricane, or tiger moth, or a couple of bi-planes flying overhead on a summer's day! (The spitfire is being rebuilt and won't fly until a year next summer...)
This was a rare chance to snatch a quick photo while the kids were engrossed in something...the background was busy so I sepia'd it but liked the idea of the bi-plane flying into the present from the past so did some selective colouring with the original.
I am so touched by your dropping by, or leaving sweet messages on my shots - you are all the most smashing 365ers and I am so grateful for your encouragement, thank you :)
