Of course I had been looking out for the 'super moon' but with so much cloud, all I got on Saturday was cold! We came back late from friends' on Sunday night and there it was, huge and bright and gorgeous. Too misty, too late and too inebriated to get the telescope out I realised with a bit of careful balance I could get 2 of my favourite things in one shot - the moon and my coloured glass windowsill on the landing. Tiptoed to take this hearing the kids already gently snoring...
So grateful to you for viewing/commenting on yesterday's shot of the cherry blossom, thank you all so much for the ongoing encouragement you're brill!
LOL at the too inebriated bit of your story... Now.. I like this. I like how it has that noisy look around all but the moon... I like how you've composed this and... did you notice that your 2 swans (?) are creating a heart from the angle you've shot from? You've done really well :)
@ozziehoffy Hi Cass! Thank you - I must confess, when I was taking it (balanced on the stairs, leaning over the bannister rail, trying not to wake the kids), I was just trying to get the moon in the shot and some glass in the shot and hold it steady! It looked quite 'glowing' last night, but perhaps the wine helped there...! :)
@filsie65 Wow, that is a collection! Some nice looking ones too. LOL ... the wine may have added to it... but I still like this and how you've done it. Glad you managed to keep your balance lol
This is a lovely way to capture this special moon highlighting your lovely glass collection and I think yesterday's blossoms were just as gorgeous as the moon.
Hehe, love your commentary :o) You sound like me but the inebriation hasn't done this shot any harm at all. A lovely collection of stuff and the glow is great. A really atmospheric shot xx
FAV for me because it has three of my favorite things....the moon, your beautiful glass shelves that are so very much like mine, and the fact that we both took pictures of the supermoon and thought of each other across oh so many miles. Your support over the last week is very much appreciated.
Very creative idea. It came out well. How come you use a telescope to shoot the moon? I would never have thought of that. I just zoom right in on my camera. I love the tones in this picture. It has a misty quality. You couldn't have been that inebriated or you wouldn't have gotten such a great image! Well done!!
