Isn't this cute! Of course we celebrated the Queen's diamond jubilee at school and art club made this wonderful bunting... anything was ok as long as it was red, white and blue. Love how it fluttered and decorated the long corridor into our classroom. On Thursday we had a day when the children (and staff) dressed in those national colours, we had a visit from the deputy Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, and even the little ones stood up to sing patriotic songs like Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem! The PTA laid on a picnic lunch on long tables outside and they all stood to sing 'God save the Queen' - brought a mistiness to my vision!
So looking forward to catching up with all your shots soon... Saturday is going to be a Huge day but with any luck I'll be back on track before too long. Have a wonderful weekend everyone x
Absolutely lovely Phil. As I drove to work this morning I watched a load of Queens and Princes and Princesses crossing the road to school. All mine are grown now of course so no need to make any fancy dress costumes any more :o( I love this. It really leads your eye down and the children did a lovely job with their bunting xx
As I enjoy the excitement of your bunting I'm listening to our local ABC radio reflect on her reign...we'll see the special celebrations on TV tonight.
Sounds so exciting... What an exciting time this is..... I was listening to a bit of commentary on the celebrations ... amazing really, 60 years! :) WE will never see that again!
This is very cute! I love projects kids come up with. Very excellent pic. Tell the kids they did a fantastic job and that your follower(s) love their artwork!
