I just love this!! I had the idea of taking a photo from the huge, swinging sort of merry-go-round that took us up high, tilted, turned, etc, but once it got going and ohmygosh so high and fast...realised I needed both hands to hold on tight, so carefully dropped my camera down my sleeve! After a few mins I decided I was being a wooss, tried to get mind over instinct, and somehow wriggled it out, turned it on, tilted it and clicked a few times, without totally letting go of the chains! I don't think I breathed either... This was such a fluke!!
(George enjoys throwing both hands in the air but I think even he was holding on a little bit!)
Thank you to everyone who called by to see my glowing Autumn Orton tree. I would like to confirm that I was driving at a snails pace when I took it. (Ok, a quick snail.....!)
FAV.
For many reasons. I love the shot. But I also love that you stepped out of your comfort zone to get it - and that you get on rides with your son. Don't forget to keep doing that!
I never hold onto the chains... I love splaying my arms out. Once I got hit by an insect but that was okay. It didn't hurt too bad. This is a great shot! I love the silhouette and the way the sun shines and flares through the trees. Well done you brave woman!
