Saw this beautiful rainbow as the sun was low - it was a full arc but I couldn't get it all in. Got home to see the awful news from America and just wanted to curl up. Memories of Dunblane when George was a newborn grieved me again, we always hope it will never happen again. Looked back on my photos later and decided this was the only one I could post today. It doesn't fit in with the challenges but I think I will forgive myself that.
Such a nutcase-busy time of year I'm struggling to keep up with everything, but hope to catch up with your super shots later (after the family gathering miles away). Keep safe, my little 365 friends.
Oh - and thanks so much for the views and comments on my busy-fizzy shot... you're all lovely!
Rainbows hold personal memories of my late sister-in law and it's amazing how they can appear when least expected. It looks a fairly clear sky in your shot, so there must have been rain there too. It was a very dull rainy and windy day here not made any better with the news from America. Can't imagine what it must be like to leave your precious child at school and not have him or her come home again.
What a gorgeous rainbow! It's such an amazing capture. So pretty on such a hard day. I think what happened in a town not 3 hours from my home hit the entire globe pretty hard. You managed to capture something so stunning on such a tragic day. Beautiful, Phil.
Sometimes these things are something of a sign and just seem to fit don't they. Such an horrendous tragedy. I can't imagine what those poor children and their teachers went through :o( xx
A beautiful tribute Phil and a lovely symbol of hope - I am & will continue to focus on the memory of those beautiful children and teachers and to keep their families and loved ones in my thoughts and prayers - it grieves so deeply that it is the perpetrators that are named and remembered for their heinous sins and that they are rewarded with such notoriety.
