This was one of the funny moments when I realised I was walking where a 365er had walked months before.. a mental 'deja-vue' flashback to a shot David H had taken here last year some time. Tried to balance out the fierce sunlight and the dark shadows from the old Cathedral in Barcelona, but in the end just added a dip of cross-processing and decided to remember it as it was! Love the bright orange tree and the dark stonework in the cloisters.
Realised I had somehow left a gap (perhaps I forgot there were 31 days in May!) and thought I should remedy it pdq. Thanks for calling by :)
Love this Phil - but I had to google the geese - I was gobsmacked to read that there are "always 13 geese in the cloister courtyard - one for every year of the young martyr's life" - (I am addicted to google and I just know I'm going to have to find out more about Saint Eulalia!) Fav for the shot - I love the contrast of light and shade and the bursts of color from the oranges.
Aw Phil, bless you for remembering me! Beautiful picture of a lovely spot, definitely bringing back some very fond memories :-)
Lovely to 'see' you again
@hasselhotch How could I forget?! You and Jen married yet? Hope to see more of your shots soon. We are gratefully winding down to July with more of it to go than we want to realise! Our head is retiring and we're moving into a soft federation with another school so everything's a bit combuddled but we're getting there... Hope everything is going ok for you two. :)
Hello! We have a new Head and she is shaking things up and I am finally at the end of my post as acting Head of languages and like you am winding down to the summer but I don't want to wish the time away as we marry at the start of August. I'm hoping to start on here again in earnest soon with the aim of starting my own website too and maybe even selling an image! I need goals/dreams or I get nothing done.
Have you got any plans for the summer?
