Really upped the shadows so you could see a bit of detail like the maypole and George in the far background, I just loved the way the light shone through and picked up all the tufts of newly-mown grass on the green.
Traumas today - cat woke me at 3am came down to find front door wide open aaargh!! You can imagine how long it took me to calm down and get back to sleep after working out there was no intruder, the door just couldn't have been shut properly and the wind blew it open... This evening got home to see the wind blow over the Guinea-pig hutch and watch the little guy dash like a little brown dot across the grass towards the lake behind the border... thankfully we got him back from among the nettles and the hutch is only slightly broken... pushed against the garage now. After all that, work, the school run and tea it was a joy to lie in the cold damp grass and shoot dachshunds. (but only with a camera!)
Thanks so much for your views and kind words on yesterday's B&W light and shadows - you're all lovely :) TGIFT
Awesomme POV (glad you caught the guinea pig in time and that it was only the wind that had opened your front door - still, nice to have alert guard cats isnt it ;-)
That' a lot of stress! Glad you got GP back before he became predatory supper. I've had those door open nights too (before the three dogs) and I have to walk around the house with a walking stick. This is a really happy shot, though. :o)
Great shot, Phil! :) Love the lighting and shadows and the flare. The dogs look so happy! What a day you have had!! Glad you didn't have an intruder!! Odd the door was open and then the guinea pig hutch opened. ... Haunted, perhaps? Very nice job on this photo! :)
